How do I classify a trip?

Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone, in an encrypted local database. With iCloud sync enabled, your data is also backed up to your private iCloud account using CloudKit.

Does the app send my location to analytics?
No. Analytics events exclude GPS coordinates, street addresses, routes, vehicle details, and trip notes. See the Privacy Policy for the full list of what analytics does and does not collect.

No. EveryLastMile is independent — not acquired, with no parent company.

Does EveryLastMile file my taxes?
No. EveryLastMile produces mileage records for US IRS (Publication 463) and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) recordkeeping; it does not prepare or file tax returns in either country.

Why does the app need location permissions?
To detect when you start and stop driving. Location data stays on your device — we cannot see it. "Always Allow" is required for background detection to work.

How does auto trip detection work?
GPS, motion sensors, CarPlay, Bluetooth, and parking geofences work together to detect when you start and stop driving. Drives over two minutes are logged automatically.

Can I edit a trip after the fact?
Yes. Edit start point, end point, distance, category, vehicle, or notes anytime. The app trusts you.

How do I export to my accountant?
Generate a PDF or CSV report from the Reports tab, filter by date range and vehicle, then share via email, AirDrop, or save to Files. Premium-only.

Do you sell my data?
No. We have no server that holds trip data, no advertising partners, and no data brokers. The marketing site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics plus privacy-limited PostHog page and Web Vitals analytics with no cookies, no autocapture, and no session recording — see the Privacy Policy for details. There is nothing to sell.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then EveryLastMile, then Cancel. Apple handles all billing — we never see your card.

Does EveryLastMile store my trips on a server?
No. No EveryLastMile server stores your trips. They live in an encrypted SQLite database in the app's private iOS container, protected by iOS Data Protection. Optional sync goes to your own private iCloud (CloudKit), which we cannot read.

Can EveryLastMile read my iCloud data?
No. When you enable sync, it writes to your own private iCloud (CloudKit) database. That database is yours — EveryLastMile cannot read it.

Is there an Android or web version?
No, and none is announced. EveryLastMile is an iOS app for iPhone (iOS 26 or later).
